The Ketereh District Council will provide efficient, prompt and effective services to the clients based on the values of honesty, sincerity, purity, fairness and trust according to the concept of work as an ibadah.

MDK-PI DIVISIONAL CLIENT CHARTERS

1.    URBAN SERVICES DIVISION

We pledge to provide garbage collection services within less than two days for residential areas, along the main roads and strategic areas:

  • Provide adequate number of garbage bins in public places.
  • Endeavour to ward off public health nuisance with efficient services and to have prompt responses to public complaints.

2.    LICENSING DIVISION

We pledge to process business licence applications  within less  than one month from the date of the application:

  • Process licences and permits for advertisements, banners, posters, billboards, etc within less than seven days.
  • Process temporary permits for businesses or sales promotions which will be issued within less than seven days.
  • Process licences/permits for night market / farmers' market traders within one week.
3.    ENGINEERING AND BUILDING DIVISION

We pledge to provide the best, efficient and effective services as follows:

  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of projects are well executed in accordance with existing regulations.
  • Process applications for projects by local communities promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all machinery and vehicles of the Council are in good and perfect condition.
  • Ensure all public complaints (on infrastructure) will be resolved properly and promptly.

4.   FINANCE DIVISION

We pledge to provide friendly, efficient and effective services in handling matters regarding employee finances, government departments, statutory authorities, private agencies and the public.

  • Prepare the annual budget ready before July each year.
  • Prepare employee salaries before the 24th of each month.
  • Ensure that all payments are made within a period of less than one month from the claim/invoice receipt date.
  • Ensure that employee Income Tax Statements are completed before 31 March each year.
  • Ensure that audit remarks will be attended to within 14 days.

5.    ADMINISTRATION DIVISION

We pledge to provide friendly, efficient and effective services in handling financial matters related to the employees, government departments, statutory bodies and the public.

  • Update employee records within one day from the information receipt date.
  • Notify results of annual leave applications within two days from application date.
  • Distribute information / notifications / letters to employees within two days of its issuance.
  • Ensure that employee welfare is well taken care of.
  • Distribute meeting invitations within less than seven days before the date of the meeting.
  • Respond to any complaints within seven days.

 

6.    PLANNING AND BUILDING DIVISION

We pledge to provide efficient, friendly and quality services for the approval of the following applications:

  • Subdivision of lands, partition of lands, land title conversion, lease of government land applications and land consolidation within two weeks from the application receipt date provided that the requirements stipulated by the Ketereh District Council Islamic Municipal are met.
  • Improve the quality of sanitation and beautification services around towns and housing areas once in every two months.
  • Erect temporary stand-alone buildings, plan amendments and additions within two weeks from the application receipt date.
  • Erect permanent / semi-permanent single buildings within three weeks from the application receipt date.
  • Ensure that building plan approvals for housing, factories and petrol kiosk projects are within two months from the date of the application provided that the stipulated requirements are met.

7.    COUNTER UNIT

We pledge to provide friendly, efficient and effective services in handling matters related to the government departments, statutory authorities, private bodies and the public.

  • Receive and process bills and payment receipts within one minute
  • Record names and the total amount in the receipt book within two minutes.
  • Provide friendly services to customers.

8.    RENTAL UNIT

We pledge to provide efficient, accurate and effective services for the following matters:

  • Process applications for rental of properties / buildings / stalls / kiosks etc. within seven days upon fulfillment of stipulated requirements.
  • Update information on rentals and rental accounts within five (5) days from the date of receipt of complete information.
  • Issue official payment receipts (Kew.38) immediately to the tenants for mobile revenue collections.
